TRAINSPOTTING creator IRVINE WELSH has made a film about the life of a Scottish marine who was released from death row after 21 years behind bars.
The 10-minute documentary follows the progress of former marine Kenny Richey as he attempts to adapt to life out of prison.
The 43-year-old was sentenced to death in 1986 after being found guilty of starting a fire which killed a two-year-old girl in Ohio, but was released earlier this year (Jan08) after pleading no contest to a series of lesser charges.
Welsh's film will be premiered at this summer's (08) Edinburgh International Film Festival.
